Your pursuit of AME Certification reminds me of the EU system / Canadian system.

I do work on sophisticated aircraft CL604's and G450's and have worked on single engine 150's as well.

Personally, I do NOT want any more FAA / Government / PAMA involvement in my life than I already have. So from one small voice in our industry, put the AME Certification program where the sun does not shine and count me out of your grand scheme.

Thanks for your comments, David. There are a few others that have shared those views with me, as well. However, many more have expressed agreement with the path we are on. What alternative actions would you recommend our professional community do to keep up with our technology and address the growing need for highly skilled technicians. We need all the good ideas we can get.
